Comfort Food

For some reason, I want to make a recipe that I haven't eaten in years...hachis parmentier, a typical French dish with ground beef and mashed potatoes.

Hachis Parmentier
Serves 4-6

Ingredients:
1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 good sized tomato
400g ground beef
Healthy pat of butter
1 egg
1/4 cup Parmesan
1 spoonful flour
Herbes de provence
1/2 cup gruyère
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups mashed potatoes

Cool onions and garlic in the butter until clear. Add ground beef and diced tomato. When cooked, add egg, flour, and Parmesan. Spread at the bottom of a baking dish. Spread mashed potatoes on top. Cover with gruyère (or emmental). Bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.

Enjoy with a side salad!
